Community Volunteer Needs

Many current and past volunteers have found it be a very informative and rewarding experience to volunteer for the community. This is also a great opportunity for teens to obtain community service hours (HOA will provide a letter for service hours). Residents wishing to volunteer should contact Mrs. Kay Stevens, General Manager, at:

We will be a much better community if we each take a little time to get involved.

Board of Directors (BOD):  Provides the overall management oversight of our community and homeowners association.  Make decisions and implement contracts that are in the best interest of Austin Ridge.  Authority to form committees and boards as required to help/advise the BOD.   Establish homeowner dues and enforce by-law requirements.  Interact with County and State leaders to protect and advance issues of importance to our community. Board members are elected positions. Please contact the HOA managing agent for additional information.

Architectural Review Board (ARB):  Reviews all requests from homeowners to upgrade or modify their property.  This includes structural changes/additions as well as landscaping.  They are key to keeping the community to within established standards and to advise the BOD when additional measures may be required to enforce compliance.  Must coordinate with the management company to establish and follow procedures to review applications from homeowners.  The ARB members meets on the first Thursday of the month October through February and on the first and third Thursday March through September. All meetings are held in the Community Center meeting room beginning at 7:00 PM (pending quorum).

Budget and Finance Committee:  Key advisers to the Board of Directors on issues concerning the accounting and financial management of our community.  They will work closely with the BOD and our management company, to ensure all programs are properly budgeted for and all regulatory practices and laws are followed.  Ultimately, they will help the BOD determine the best use of our homeowner’s dues. Committee meets during budget season only (July-Sept.)

Community Activities Committee: They are responsible for planning events within Austin Ridge to create a true sense of community.  Some programs that would come under the purview of this committee include seasonal events like Egg Hunt, Pool Social and Cookies with Santa etc. Committee meets as needed to plan events.

Communication Committee: All newsletters publications are outsourced.  The HOA newsletter and website (www.austinridgehoa.com) are great resources to obtain community updates and other information.

Pool Committee: Responsible for recommending pool management services and establishing pool regulations for BOD consideration and approval. Work with BOD, community members, and pool management to identify and resolve any problems, safety issues, or other concerns related to the pool.

Proffer Committee:  This committee was assembled to advise the BOD on the most appropriate amenities to purchase with the HOA proffer funds.
